Overview

Global Prayer is a free Christian prayer app and website. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the Global Prayer mobile app or the website at globalprayerapp.com, how it is used, and your rights in relation to it.

Information We Collect

Global Prayer itself collects minimal data:

• Prayer open count. When you tap "Begin Prayer", an anonymous counter is incremented in our Firebase Realtime Database. This counter is global and shared — no personal identifier, device ID, or account is linked to it. We cannot identify who opened a prayer.
• Notification preferences. If you enable the daily reminder, your chosen notification time is stored locally on your device only, using AsyncStorage. This information never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us.

We do not collect your name, email address, location, or any other personal information. We have no user accounts. No personal data is stored on our servers.

Advertising (Google AdMob — App)

The Global Prayer mobile app displays a small banner advertisement provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect certain data in order to serve advertisements, including:

• Device identifiers (such as Advertising ID)
• IP address
• General location (country or region, derived from IP)
• App usage information

Some data collection by Google may occur for purposes such as ad personalisation, fraud prevention, and frequency capping.

By using Global Prayer, you consent to the collection of data by Google AdMob as described above. For more information, please see Google's Privacy Policy and Google AdMob's data practices.

Advertising (Google AdSense — Website)

The Global Prayer website (globalprayerapp.com) displays advertisements provided by Google AdSense. AdSense may collect certain data in order to serve and personalise advertisements, including:

• Browser identifiers and cookies
• IP address
• General location (country or region, derived from IP)
• Browsing behaviour and page interaction data

Google AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. For more information, please see Google's Privacy Policy.

On first launch, Global Prayer will ask for your consent before displaying advertisements, in accordance with GDPR and applicable data protection law.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Global Prayer is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The app itself collects no personal data. The only data collection that occurs in the app is through Google AdMob, which operates its own child safety policies.

Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided personal information through this app should contact us immediately at the address below.

Firebase

We use Google Firebase Realtime Database solely to maintain a global counter of prayer openings. Firebase may collect technical information such as IP addresses for security and abuse prevention purposes. No personal user data is stored in our Firebase database. See Firebase's privacy information.

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR:

• The right to access any personal data we hold about you
• The right to request correction of inaccurate data
• The right to request deletion of your data
• The right to withdraw consent to data processing at any time
• The right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)

Because Global Prayer collects no personal data directly, most of these rights apply primarily to data held by Google (AdMob and Firebase) rather than by us. To exercise your rights with Google, please visit Google's data and privacy settings.

Data Retention

The global prayer counter is retained indefinitely as it is an aggregate, anonymous count with no personal data attached. Notification preferences stored on your device can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app data in your device settings.

Third-Party Services

This app and website use the following third-party services:

• Google AdMob — advertising (mobile app)
• Google AdSense — advertising (website)
• Google Firebase — anonymous counter database (app and website)
• Google Translate — optional prayer translation (app and website)

We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not share your data with any party other than those listed above, and only as described in this policy.

Translate Feature

Global Prayer includes a translate button which, when tapped, opens prayer text in Google Translate via your device browser. When you use this feature, Google Translate receives the prayer text and your device's IP address. This is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. The translate feature is entirely optional and user-initiated.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
